Hello,
I just want to announce that the forum is working as intended and I've setup backups for it (hope I won't need them). I've also tested the recovery from a backup and everything went smooth after I figured out that the XenForo gives an ambiguous error when accessed on localhost and not 127.0.0.1.
I'm going to keep it, mostly for my blog. It's kind of nice to write on an editor and not markdown files since that's what I've written in for the last 3 years.
Email also works and is powered by Scaleway's Transaction Email Service, I waited 24h+ for Amazon to approve my account so XenForo can send you password reset and account confirmation type of emails but they didn't approve it in the end. Happy that I've found Scaleway, there's also Rapid Mail which I haven't tried.
Everyone is welcome to the forum, so far it's only myself and a few friends and most of the messages are posted in private conversations or nodes for registered users. If you want to join the discussions you can create an account, otherwise you can browse the blog and professional zone without it.
Other nodes related to hobbies are hidden from public view and are only viewable when creating an account, this mainly to prevent content from being crawled.
The hobbies category includes nodes for: Games, Music, Movies & TV Shows, 3D Printing, Forum RPG, DIY, Gardening, Cooking and random activities.
I would also like to thank Hetzner for providing good and affordable hosting.
